End of an era, Thank God

My Internship is coming to an end in exactly half a month. I honestly don't know how i feel, for the most part I enjoyed the internship. I think I got a glimpse into the real world and realised that in life, that most people just don't care about others at all. Its sad but true.

Some people I met were lovely, some people appeared lovely, and some people just put on lovely. I don't know where I fit in within all this loveliness, But I hope I am not artificial. But I have to say the whole experience has really opened up my eyes, I now know what type of person I definitely don't want to become. I hope in the future as my career develops I will always maintain my kindness and caring attitude towards people (especially those who deserve it)

Regardless of any mixed feelings I have towards the internship I do feel like I learnt a lot and am maybe more alert and aware than I used to be. I think in the future I would prefer to work in a larger organization that has less in office politics because to be honest that can really get you down.

Anyway all the stress of the termination of the internship and pressure to move on to my next path has caused a breakout. Not Fun at all, So I am tackling it with my old reliable SudoCream, Clearasil Overnight Lotion, Australian Body care On the Spot Roll on and Australian Body-care Face Wash. So fingers crossed I will be back to normal in no time.

But at the moment I am borderline considering buying the Proactiv 4 Piece Anti Blemish Kit. Gabriella Ellis from Made in Chelsea is the new Brand Ambassador, I love Made in Chelsea but not necessarily her, I think if Millie or Binky was using it, It would have more push power.

What kind of spot treatments are you using?

Scent of the Moment- Lavender

I am a terrible person for getting crazy about different scents, I went through my rose phase, cucumber phase, I am still stuck on that one!! But my newest scent I can't get enough of is Lavender or if you like Lavandula angustifolia. In the past Lavender was used for all sorts of things like disinfecting wounds during the war, Farmers used to put a bit of Lavender in there hat to prevent headaches and sun stroke
Women used to and in fact still do put sachets of lavender in there closets to keep there clothes fresh and of course potpouri, Lavender can be used for treating anxiety and depression, According to the Smell and Taste Foundation in Chicago, the scent of lavender increases brain waves associated with relaxation. Lavender can also help people with insomnia,

A Lavender Pillow is just as good as any modern sleeping medication. You can also relieve headaches by massaging Lavender oil on your temples, neck and forehead. Lavender Oil can also help a number of skin problems such as acne, burns, dry skin, eczema, itchy skin, sunburn, seborrhea, and skin inflammation.

The uses of lavender are endless. Lavender is a must-have for all homes because of its calming, antibiotic, antiseptic, disinfectant, antiviral and anti-inflammatory properties. It is good for treating or aiding in the treatment of a number of health problems.

Lavender can be applied in various different ways. It can be massaged onto the skin, placed in diffusers for inhalation, added to baths, added to vaporizers, and mixed with water or other substances for spray purposes. Lavender is very potent and should always be used sparingly. The oil must always be diluted with water or a carrier oil such as olive, jojoba, avocado, or grape seed oil. Never place lavender oil directly on the skin without diluting it.

All that being said I can't wait to add to my Lavender Products.

Soap, Yay or Nay?

Soaps or Handwashes? Awhile back when Lush first opened me and my boyfriend went in and obviously the first thing that struck us, was all the scents, Oh my god it felt like our noses were having a fiesta, we were like sniffer dogs, sniffing out the best scent, and obviously we couldn't resist buying something and the thing that caught my eye was this really brightly coloured soap called Angel Delight, probably the most unnatural thing in the shop lol! But I had to have it.

I brought it home and we started using it and in the beginning it was great, it smelled good looked good, but as there are only two people living in our apartment, soaps tend to last us a long time.... So after a month of having it i was cleaning the apartment and I noticed that the soap was starting to become a bit soggy and the colour was coming off on to my soap bowl. Then i had no choice but to throw it out. :( and after that I was sworn off, Hand Soaps and was never really enticed by Lush again to be honest.
So ever since then we have been using hand washes such as Dove, and various other fruity ones, like most recently raspberry scented Hand washes.

But anyway this week our Raspberry scented Handwash ran out and I headed to boots and quite frankly I was all set to buy the Soap and Glory Hand wash I knew the price was steep €6.90 but it was on 3 for 2 so I thought maybe I would pick two other things out. Actuially they have a Handwash/Hand Lotion Giftset half price now. €6.50 for the two is a real bargain... but I already have the Soap and Glory Hand Food...

But when I got into boots I was overwhelmed by the huge selection of Hand washes and was strangely attracted to Boots's own Lavender Handwash.

I have never used Lavender anything for as long as I can remember because I guess its traditionally associated with older people.... But not to long ago I read a blog about Lavender body lotion and I become interested in revisiting Lavender this overlooked scent. So I got it home and guess what I can't stop washing my hands.

Maybe my nose is maturing?
